On Friday 29 March 2019 I rode back to Cape Town from George using back routes so I needed a place to sleep over for one night.
I booked at Suntouched Inn Travellers Lodge, in Napier based on recommendations for the route I used and I'm glad I did. Here's why.

Firstly, the manager's hospitality (Theunie) is awesome - I felt at home from the moment I entered. Because she is so chilled and easy going it immediately diffused the "new & unknown place" feeling and I could just relax and figure myself out.
I'd just spent 7 hours on a motorbike on gravel roads so being in a place where they are super chilled and let me do my thing was key. I didn't know it would be important until I experienced it.
Accommodation
I stayed in the double room. It's one of 3 rooms upstairs and has a nice view. The room, bed, bedding and everything is excellent. There's a relaxing quiet sitting area upstairs with TV, comfy couches, filter coffee and tea station and books. What's awesome is that this area is separate from the restaurant area downstairs so no one walks here so you can just relax yourself.
Here's an overview of what the whole place looks like:

Food
Seeing they are famous for their pizza I went for the meaty "Met vleish" option for supper and it was the stuff!
The room comes with an English breakfast which again was an awesome home breakfast but restaurant quality. That plus fresh coffee and sitting on the porch tables for the view was perfect.
Facilities
There is fast, free and uncapped Wi-Fi. Great. End of review.
The place is kitted with everything you'd expect from a top guesthouse but at very affordable prices.
Atmosphere
Everyone knows everyone so it has a great vibe. You can have your meal in the pub area or in the quieter and separate restaurant area.
This is one of those places you come across once and mark permanently on your GPS. So I thought I'd write this review in case you decide to go to or past Napier and I hope you'll have the same experience.
